Necklift Beverly Hills
One of the most common and prominent complaints with aging is the excess and sagging skin that occurs with the neck. Often times, this is also accompanied with unwanted neck bands. A necklift is an excellent option to treat these undesirable features. Though most commonly performed with a facelift, a necklift can be performed alone in patients who complaints are just of their neck area.
Often times, superior results are achieved with complementary procedures. Dr. Attenello may also recommend these to obtain a well-balanced and natural result. This can include neck liposuction and/or facelift.
During the procedure:
The procedure is performed in a fully accredited operating suite and all incisions are designed to be as hidden as possible – in your natural ear creases and in your hairline. Excess skin is removed and the underlying muscle is tightened and treated to remove any neck bands. Neck liposuction is performed as well to remove any unwanted fat. Fine sutures and surgical clips are used at the end of the procedure and these remain in place for 7-10 days.
A light compression bandage is worn for the first night and usually removed after one day. Mild to moderate swelling and bruising is expected and mostly resolves over two weeks. Most bruising can be covered with light make up. Patients can resume light social activity after 1-2 weeks depending on their comfort level. We advise against heavy exercising for at least two weeks.
