Using a unique VYCROSS® technology, Juvéderm Voluma XC® is a tightly linked hyaluronic acid gel that contributes to its ability to provide a superior ‘lift’ and volume to patients. Additionally, this VYCROSS® technology also contributes to its longer duration compared to the other Juvéderm® products.

Because of this tightly linked technology, it is considered a more firm filler and placed deeper in the tissue. Thus, it is not designed to be placed in areas with thin skin such as the lips or fine facial lines like Juvéderm Ultra® and Juvéderm Ultra Plus®.
