What to Expect from Your Juvéderm Ultra Treatment
The first step will be to schedule a consultation with facial plastic surgeon Dr. Attenello. During your Juvéderm Ultra consultation in Beverly Hills, Dr. Attenello will ask about your reasons for wanting the treatment and ask about the areas of the face you want to address so that she can properly examine to determine if this is the right treatment for you.
The injections process should only take around 45 minutes to one hour. The injection process is not painful a topical anesthetic can be applied. Some results should be noticeable right away and your results will continue to improve over time.
Juvéderm Ultra Aftercare
There will be a small amount of bruising and swelling around the injection sites, but these issues will be mild and should dissipate over the next day or so. Some patients may experience some bruising as well. There is no recovery period and normal activities can be resumed that same day.

Q: Does Juvéderm Ultra® and Juvéderm Ultra Plus® hurt?
A: The majority of patients are able to tolerate this procedure very well. Additionally, our products are a mixture with lidocaine to help ease any discomfort. Dr. Attenello’s office also provides topical numbing cream as well as ice packs, which are both very helpful in making the procedure relatively comfortable.
Q: Does Juvéderm Ultra® and Juvéderm Ultra Plus® bruise?
A: Significant bruising is rare but some minor bruising is not uncommon. This bruising does not require any downtime and patients can easily cover up any discoloration with makeup if needed. In the majority of patients, bruising is not a problem at all.
Q: How long does it last?
A: Studies have shown that Juvéderm Ultra® andJuvéderm Ultra Plus® can last 9 months to a year and the majority of patients enjoy the filler for this duration as well.
